Ours began long before UpSafer® was established.

Growing up in rural Taranaki and working across New Zealand's primary industries gave me an appreciation for hard work, practical thinking and the importance of looking after people. Over the years, I built experience across agriculture, dairy manufacturing, construction and business operations, working with organisations where safety, quality and environmental performance were critical to success.

Throughout my career, one thing became increasingly clear.

Many organisations were working hard to meet compliance requirements, yet their management systems often became overly complicated, disconnected from everyday operations, or simply difficult for people to understand and use.

I believed there had to be a better way.

That belief became the foundation of UpSafer®.

Established in 2024, UpSafer® was created to partner with organisations across Aotearoa New Zealand to design, implement and maintain practical Integrated Management Systems that strengthen businesses, support leaders and engage people.

Our philosophy is simple.

Safety is created through strong leadership, effective communication and practical risk management.

Systems should support organisations to grow, continually improve and give leaders confidence—not create unnecessary paperwork.

As a certified Integrated Management Systems Lead Auditor, I understand what auditors expect. More importantly, I understand what organisations need to build management systems that continue to deliver value long after an audit has been completed.
